This Chichester-based private neuro-rehabilitation centre – were seeking new innovative ways to support and enhance rehabilitation for their patients with MS and Parkinson’s Disease.

“I felt more in touch with the physical me. The breathing helps, and the slow repetition of movement. MS really has put distance between what I want my body to do and what it wants to do, but POWER Yin seems to give me back some control, so thank you.”

This POWER Yin experience extended beyond the patients themselves, to include their families, carers and members of the LV Rehabilitation staff team. There is a strong body of evidence to show that Adapted Tai Chi – the movement element of POWER Yin – can help improve balance, muscle strength, flexibility and cognitive function; reduce blood pressure, risk of falls, anxiety and depression, as well as improve general mental well-being. Whilst beneficial for everyone, such benefits are even more crucial for those with long-term physical and mental health conditions.

The benefits of breathwork, relaxation, meditation, the power of music and connection to others is also strongly supported by research, especially in populations with long-term neurological conditions, as well as chronic physical and mental health conditions.

Many of those who discovered POWER Yin at this Taster Event, continue to be one of the bunch, at regular community POWER Yin experiences, as well as Pop Ups, including breathwork and aromatherapy; further enhancing their sensory experience of POWER Yin and it’s complimentary therapeutic benefit.

“Thank you so much for making Tai Chi so much more. I can’t even begin to express how much I enjoyed it, such an incredible experience. It was so immersive and took me to a whole different place. And I wrote on my banana! Handwriting is a chore these days, if not nigh on impossible. Just incredible! You’ve got a brilliant thing there.”
